- Malta/Day 11 -

Today we say goodbye to Deko and Tom. They go back to Frankfurt at around 3 in the afternoon.

We mixed "Sally and Johnny" until it was finished, we even got rid of a lot of the "sss" sounds. Why do songwriters write lyrics like "I'll sing a song for the lonesome" that's just to much "s" for any goddam' system!

Jacqui took photos before Tom and Deko left, Annette drove them to the airport and there were tears all round.....

The next song up was the re-working of "Cold outside" and then went really good probably because Bob had fallen asleep on the sofa, Sven was working on the photos and Marcus could work without disturbance. Now the song is rocking and it was a good decision to take another shot at it.

Dinner was spaghetti with tomato sauce, tuna and a great tomato salad. David gave us two bottles of Malta wine and they went really quick and for dessert a real treat "Malteasers" the English chocolates. Bob hadn't eaten them since he was a kid.

After dinner we listened to the rest of the mixes and went home relatively early. Tomorrow is the last day in the studio and we just have to make a CD of the stuff and we're home and dry.
